Hogmanay Stornoway Harbour

It is the first day of the new year 2023, and winter has arrived in the Outer Hebrides. Normally we enjoy mild winters being surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean. But this year, there is a cold snap, and on the day of making the photos and video, there was also no wind which is exceptional.

It looked like Stornoway was floating on the water beneath the blue sky.

Just before the sun sets, some last warm light touches the trees in the castle ground.
